Frequently asked questions

Have a question?

Everything about sizing, fabric, made-to-measure orders, and shipping. Can't find what you're looking for? Reach out and we'll get back to you directly.

Ordering & sizing

Measure the width of your track or pole end-to-end, and the drop from where the curtain will hang down to where you want it to finish (sill, below sill, or floor). For pencil pleat or eyelet styles, we recommend ordering 1.5–2x your track width so the curtain has enough fullness when closed. If you're unsure, our in-home consultation includes a free measuring visit.

Yes. Every curtain is cut to order in our own workshop, so non-standard sizes are simply a note on your order, not a separate product. Use the custom size field at checkout, or contact us directly if your measurements fall outside the ranges shown.

Eyelet curtains have metal rings sewn into the top and slide directly onto a pole, giving soft, even folds. Pencil pleat has a gathered tape header that works with hooks on a track or pole. Pinch pleat is the most tailored look, with stitched triple pleats spaced evenly across the top, usually hung with hooks on a track. Each heading style changes how much fullness fabric you need, which is reflected in the sizing guide on each product.

Yes — bay windows, angled tracks, and oddly shaped windows are common requests. Send us your measurements and a rough sketch or photo through our contact form, and our workshop team will confirm exact cutting dimensions before production starts.

Materials & care

We work with linen, velvet, and blackout weaves. Linen suits living rooms and spaces where you want light to filter through softly. Velvet adds warmth and a heavier drape, popular in bedrooms and formal rooms. Blackout weave is built for bedrooms or media rooms where you need the room fully dark.

Most of our linen and blackout curtains are machine washable on a cold, gentle cycle — check the care label sewn into the side seam for the exact instructions for your fabric. Velvet curtains should be dry cleaned only, as machine washing can crush the pile permanently. Regular vacuuming with a soft brush attachment keeps dust from settling into the weave between cleans.

Some fading is normal for any fabric exposed to direct, prolonged sunlight, but we test every fabric we carry for colorfastness before it enters production. Linen and blackout weaves in our range are treated to resist UV fading significantly longer than standard off-the-shelf fabric.

Our blackout weave blocks the vast majority of light through the fabric itself, but some light will still come through at the sides and bottom if the curtain isn't wider than the window frame or doesn't reach the floor. For a fully dark room, we recommend ordering at least 20cm wider than your window on each side and a floor-length drop.

Production & shipping

Standard sizes in stock fabric typically ship within 5–7 business days. Fully custom sizes or made-to-order fabric combinations take 2–3 weeks, since each panel is cut and sewn individually in our workshop rather than pulled from a pre-made stock run.

In most cases, yes, for an additional rush fee. Contact us with your target date before placing the order so our workshop can confirm it's achievable — we'd rather tell you upfront than promise a date we can't hit.

We currently ship within [Country/Region] as standard, with select international shipping available on request. Contact us with your delivery address before ordering and we'll confirm cost and timeline.

You'll receive an email with tracking information as soon as your order leaves the workshop. For custom orders, we also send a confirmation once cutting begins, so you have visibility into where your order is in the process.

Returns & guarantee

Contact us within 14 days of delivery with your order number and the measurement issue. If the error is on our end, we'll re-cut and re-sew a replacement at no extra cost. If the original measurements you provided were incorrect, we can still offer a discounted re-make, since the fabric and labor are workshop-specific to your order.

Because custom and made-to-measure curtains are cut specifically for your order, they aren't eligible for a standard no-reason return the way an off-the-shelf product would be. Standard, non-custom sizes can be returned unused and in original packaging within 30 days.

Every order is covered against manufacturing defects — seam failure, hem separation, or hardware faults — for 2 years from delivery. This doesn't cover normal wear, fading from sun exposure, or damage from improper washing outside the care label instructions.

Yes. Since everything is made in-house, we can usually repair or replace hardware, re-hem a drop, or fix a seam without needing to remake the entire curtain. Send us a photo of the issue and we'll quote a repair before asking you to send anything back.
